A Clear Strategy for Safety Worth Three Stars

Converge Platform: Patient and Employee Safety

CHALLENGE

West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital (WCCH) in Louisiana, made a commitment to implement a culture of safety, focused on quality and innovation, to provide them with a competitive edge. To deliver an organization-wide program, WCCH knew they needed a comprehensive and flexible event management solution.

SOLUTION: PATIENT AND EMPLOYEE SAFETY

WCCH’s quality expansion focused on three points, core measurement management, organizing their meaningful use program and an IT infrastructure that could support key safety initiatives.

Implementing the Patient and Employee Safety application, WCCH’s IT infrastructure now had the ability to aggregate data, identify and act upon adverse events, and apply proactive and preventative measures to improve outcomes.

Team Safety

Creating transparency, supports WCCH’s safety culture through ease of use reporting, team enablement, and shared communication.

Data Efficiency

Serving as the primary audit and data collection tool, the application manages WCCH’s quality and safety policies and procedures, updating standards in real-time.
