Charleston, SC Oct. 1, 2018 — Verge Health, the industry’s leading governance, risk and compliance (GRC) for healthcare companies, has added the capability to manage the payer enrollment process allowing organizations to streamline the location-specific enrollment requirements that payers have established for practitioners.
“Getting each provider credentialed, and then making sure they are enrolled in every health plan for every location where they practice within a health system, is a cumbersome process, to put it mildly,” says Chris Malanuk, President and Executive over Practitioner Management for Verge Health. “It’s time for an integrated solution to bring enrollment and credentialing together with an improved and efficient process for practitioners and health systems alike.”
Separate departments within a hospital or health system typically perform enrollment and credentialing functions that certify practitioners, which can lead to significant liability and impose a negative impact on reimbursement. Using a shared data model, the Verge Health Practitioner Management Application coordinates internal credentialing tasks and external relationship tasks. A robust tool allows users to leverage the entirety of the verified practitioner dataset, managed by Verge Health’s credentialing services, for any relationship type (payer, hospital, or licensing agency).
The tool will be available within the existing Verge Practitioner Management Application early 2019 with beta clients taking advantage of the solution later this year.
