Special Community Screening of Film Addresses Efforts to Tackle the Third Leading Cause of Death in US

Charleston, SC, November 6, 2018 — Verge Health, the healthcare industry’s leading governance, risk and compliance (GRC) company, invites the Charleston community to an advance screening of the patient safety documentary, To Err is Human. The film screening and a post-screening discussion take place Thursday, November 15 at 7:00pm at MUSC’s Storm Eye Institute Auditorium in downtown Charleston.

Medical mistakes lead to as many as 440,000 preventable deaths every year. To Err is Human is an in-depth documentary about this silent epidemic and those working quietly behind the scenes to create a new age of patient safety. This screening event will focus on the imperative conversation of a new culture of safety in medicine to improve quality of care. The film speaks to healthcare workers, along with the general public, to showcase solutions and changes that could dramatically improve the quality of healthcare.
