Northeast Wisconsin Provider to Access Verge Health’s Converge Platform to Bring United Approach to Safety, Risk and Quality

Charleston, SC.,  July 10, 2018  Verge Health, the industry’s leading Governance, Risk, and Compliance  software and services solution for hospitals and health systems, and ThedaCare, a community health system in northeast and central Wisconsin, will begin working together to improve employee and patient safety for the seven ThedaCare hospitals, over 32 clinics and more than 200,000 patients.

“ThedaCare is transforming healthcare delivery in northeast Wisconsin, and we’re pleased to be a part of it,” says Mark Crockett, MD, chief executive officer for Verge Health. “We look forward to helping ThedaCare achieve continuous improvement in patient and employee safety through a platform approach including our Strategic Advisory Services to power ThedaCare’s high reliability journey.”

ThedaCare will leverage the Patient and Employee Safety suite of Verge Health’s Converge platform. Converge offers a proven enterprise risk management solution connecting Organizational Compliance, Practitioner Management and Patient and Employee Safety.  Through its strategic integration capabilities, Verge Health will enable ThedaCare to leverage data house in the electronic health record (EPIC) to enable an enterprise surveillance feature; identifying high risk issues that may otherwise go unreported.

“We are delighted to be working with Verge,” says Lisa Harton, vice president of quality and safety for ThedaCare. “Our mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve and Verge  offers innovative approaches that leverage technology, processes and expertise to make certain we are more than ’survey ready‘ as we strive to remain ’patient ready‘ on our journey to high reliability.”

Implementation will begin in June with the system expected to be in place by early 2019 in all ThedaCare acute facilities.
