Verge Solutions is pleased to announce that its Board of Managers has appointed Dr. Mark Crockett as Chief Executive Officer as of February 1, 2016 and elected him to the Board. Previous Interim CEO Larry McTavish will continue to serve on the Board.

Dr. Crockett has been involved in healthcare technology ventures since 1997. An accomplished leader and a pioneer in the area of healthcare information technology, Dr. Crockett saw early on the need for hospital information systems that integrate and drive processes. He was a pioneer in EMR systems and population health. As a practicing physician, Mark understands the needs and goals of our healthcare clients along with the importance of implementing best practice processes to achieve those goals. Whether as an ER doctor or at the helm of several healthcare information technology companies, Crockett has been focused on achieving the Triple Aim of healthcare: improving quality, improving patient outcomes, and lowering healthcare costs.

Mark Crockett Bio
Dr. Mark D. Crockett, MD, FACEP most recently served as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at Best Doctors, Inc. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Rise Health, Ibex Healthdata Systems, and as President of Emergency Care Division of Picis. He was Chief Medical Officer at OptumInsight’s Accountable Care Solutions, and his systems technology expertise helped drive product development at companies such as Ibex Healthdata Systems. He is a practicing Emergency Department physician at Advocate Healthcare in Chicago. He is a published author in the Journal of the American Medical Association, and holds several patents in healthcare information systems. He received his Bachelor of Science from Wheaton College and his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois.
