With this year’s theme, Optimizing the Heartbeat of Healthcare, Verge Health has invited three accomplished speakers for the keynote sessions.

LuAnn Vis, RN, BSN, MSOD, Associate Director, High Reliability Initiatives, Joint Commission Center for Transforming Health Care, will discuss effective strategies and tools from organizations outside of healthcare that can be used to help healthcare organizations work toward high reliability, with very few or no adverse events.

Rick Curtis, RN, MS, HACP, Chief Executive Officer, CIHQ, will talk about the impact of changes to CMS surveys and certifications, and his time with attendees will help prepare organizations for the modifications that are planned.

Mark Crockett, MD, FACEP, Chief Executive Officer, Verge Health; and Emergency Department Physician, Advocate Health Care, leads discussions on the need for a holistic approach to governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) as it pertains to information technology, clinical needs and operational issues.

Other breakout sessions are scheduled throughout the time, with participants choosing from courses to better leverage their needs, time and experiences.
